Our Lord! Lay not upon us such a burden as You did lay upon those before us. (2:286)

Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate from the truth after You have guided us, and bestow upon us mercy from Your grace. Verily You are the Giver of bounties without measure. (3:8)

Our Lord! Behold we have heard a voicecalling us unto faith: “Believe in your Lord” and we have believed. (3:193)

Our Lord! And grant us that which you have promised to us by Your messengers and save us from shame on the Day of Judgement. Verily You never fail to fulfill Your promise. (3:194)

Our Lord! Place us not among the people who have been guilty of evildoing. (7:47)

Our Lord! Lay open the truth between us and our people, for You are the best of all to lay open the truth. (7:89)

The King of Pop is Dead.. Long Live The King

Friday, June 26th, 2009

kingofpop-michaeljacksonI’m not talking about King Sulumits Retsambew here. Yes, I’m talking about Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, who died on Thurday, June 25, 2009 after a severe cardiac arrest. I was never a big fan of his, but the human side of his famous, bizzare and tragic life always had a special place in my heart.  I’ve known him from my early childhood,  from the songs I learned by listening to my elder sister and brother CD collections.  My favorite is “Ben”. Somehow I felt that Ben is the friend he never had in his childhood — or maybe in his entire life.

He was a controversial figure in many ways, you might love him or you might hate him. He was a musical genious, a great entertainer.  He made a greatest recordings and videos of all time, he entertained pople with his soft voice and great music.  In a cover story about Jackson and Thriller, TIME described Jackson as  “a one-man rescue team for the music business. A songwriter who sets the beat for a decade. A dancer with the fanciest feet on the street. A singer who cuts across all boundaries of taste and style and color too.”

Fortune and fame, he had them all,  yet deep in his heart he was always a lonely man with a lost childhood.  In brief: an unhappy person. He tried to win acceptance from others and looked for happiness through many ways: changing his looks, strange behaviour with a constant problem — physically, psychologically — and try to create the childhood world on his Neverland.  Deep inside, he was “Peter Pan”  — the-don’t-want-to-grow-up-boy. In fact, he was never  been ” a boy”  in his life.

He also tried to find console and peace of mind from a religion. If the rumours were right, it was said he had become a muslim when he risided in Dubai — a hiatus from his ‘everyday life’.  The news was never really confirmed, yet we can read between the lines when his brother Jermaine Jackson conveyed in the last part of his annnouncement of Michael death:

May Allah be with you, Michael, always.

Now the King of Pop is dead. Long Live The King. His works, his legacy will always stay in the heart of people who had known him — by name or personally — and hope the ups and downs of his life will remain well written for the generation to come. Let’s remember him fairly as a human being, with all his good and bad deeds, with all his strengths and weaknesses. I hope he will find the peace of mind he yearned and never had in  his life.

Post Scripts:

Now the King of Pop is dead. But Long Live the King Sulumits Retsambew. A long journey is still ahead of us.

Sulumits Retsambew terSEOk part 2 ?

Sunday, June 14th, 2009

Sulumits retsambew really don’t have any idea what to write, lolz, but since its the time to post an entry as per terSEOk Methode,  So I decided to write this post.  Let me write in a brief about terSEOk, it is a Search Engine Optimation strategy we used in the last local seo contest organized by pogung177 which was ended on May 1st, 2009.  on that contest we finally got the first position.  Magically (lolz)  on that contest we managed to stay on the first page of google.co.id since the first day we entered the contest, it was unbelievable in less than 12  hours from the time we bought domain, then got indexed and placed in first page of Google serp, and its stay in the top 10 till the contest ended and we won the contest. We brought home the cash, it was Five Millions rupiah prize.. lolz millions.. yes.. 5 Millions,  but is only equal to $500.. haha..

So what is the terSEOk ’secret’ ?  since it is a secret, it will remain secret..lolz hehehe.. actually nothing called secret in terSEOk strategy, it is using all well known SEO methode; internal page optimation, backlink, social bookmarking, trackingback. Nothing special at all.

Will Sulumits retsambew contest be our terSEOk part two ? Only 2 G knows, God and Google, no one else. But let’s do our best, and remember Impossible is I’m possible.

Happy Sulumits Retsambew ! cya

Ten Thousand Thundering Sulumits Retsambew!

Saturday, May 23rd, 2009

sulumits-retsambew-captain-haddockEverytime I read or mentioned the words Sulumits Retsambew, another words kept on popping up on my head: Ten Thousand Thundering Sulumits Retsambew .. ooooopss .. I meant: Ten Thousand Thundering Typhoons.. lolz. Followed by other words like: Billions of Bilious Blue Blistering Barnacles, Slubberdegullions, Ectoplasmic Byproduct, Pestilential Pachyderm … and I could go on and on. And, ….voila.. Captain Haddock figure came to my mind.

Those of you who love to read The Adventures of Tintin by Belgian comics writer and artist Georges Remi — better known by his pen name Hergé — will surely be familiar with both the cursing words and the Captain Haddock character. Captain Haddock (see picture)  was a hard faced, short tempered, often badmouthed, hard drinker, whiskey lovers yet good hearted, loyal and brave sailor who by the end of the adventures had become a loyal companion for Tintin, — although from time to time still given to uttering the occasional colourful ‘expletive’ vocabulary. If you look it up on your dictionary, you might — or might not — find the meaning of those words. Just like the words Sulumits Retsambew.. lolz.

And for those of you who have no idea of who is Tintin, he is the hero of Herge’s comic strips “the Adventure of Tintin”. In Wikipedia words:

  • “Tintin is a young Belgian reporter who becomes involved in dangerous cases in which he takes heroic action to save the day. Almost every adventure features Tintin hard at work in his investigative journalism, but he is seldom seen actually turning in a story without first getting caught up in some misadventure. He is a young man of more or less neutral attitudes and is less colourful than the supporting cast. In this respect, he represents the everyman.”
In his adventure, Tintin was accompanied by his also famous four-legged assistant “Snowy”, a seafaring Captain Haddock who’s notorious with his swearing vocabulary, and other interesting character as well like Professor Calculus, twin detectives Thomson and Thompson, the opera singer Bianca Castafiore, Nestor the buttler etc…etc…

Well, the rest you’ve got to find out for yourself, mon ami! I’m not intended to tell the stories here ha3x. But to give you a hint, here are some of Tintin’s adventure stories: Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, Cigars of the Pharaoh, King Ottokar’s Sceptre , Prisoners of the Sun, The Castafiore Emerald, Tintin and the Picaros… and many others. And who knows if only Herge were still alive, he will be interested in writing a story about “Tintin and The Legend of King Sulumits Retsambew”. And Captain Haddock can’t help himself for swearing: Ten Thousand Blistering Sulumits Retsambew!!… lolz
